Product Description
Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) – An Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) is a cylindrical jacketed vessel. Product or Feed is pumped to the top of vertical type ATFD and is evenly distributed on the inner walls of the cylindrical shell with the help of a distribution plate. The steam is circulated inside the jacket for heating the feed. The feed begins to fall slowly on inner walls of the shell forming a thin layer and is agitated with the help of blades attached to a Rotor run with a motor. As the agitated feed comes down, evaporation rate becomes very high and eventually precipitation of the feed occurs when it comes out from the bottom inlet. The vapors are condensed in a condenser.
Agitated Thin Film Evaporator (ATFE), Wiped Film Evaporator (WFE) and Short Path Evaporator (SPE) are cylindrical jacketed vessels. Product or Feed is pumped to the top of vertical type Evaporator and is evenly distributed on the inner walls of the cylindrical shell with the help of a distribution plate. The steam is circulated inside the jacket for heating the feed. The feed begins to fall slowly on inner walls of the shell forming a thin layer and is agitated with the help of blades attached to a Rotor run with a motor. As the agitated feed comes down, evaporation rate becomes very high and eventually separation of solvent occurs and desired concentration of raw product /solvent is achieved and is recovered at the bottom. Vapors are condensed in an internal or external condenser.
